He has decades of experience in the Forest Service, working also in both Plumas and Modoc National Forests. He has an extensive knowledge of prescribed fire, wildfire, and silviculture. “I have worked on all adjacent forests and feel an affinity for this landscape.” He’s the owner of Crabtree Forestry Consulting, LLC, and is currently consulting with Golden State Natural Resources. (photo from Mr. Crabtree's testimony before the Subcommittee on Federal Lands Committee on Natural Resources, U.S. House of Representatives in May 2023)

She has worked with the inmate conservation camps that support some of LFSC fuel reduction efforts. She has been looking for an opportunity to serve her community and believes her strengths in education and public outreach will be an asset.

Jonathon Sims
May contain: body part, person, shoulder, face, head, neck, photography, portrait, adult, male, man, black hair, hair, clothing, and shirt

I’ve been a volunteer firefighter since 2004, including wildland firefighting, and I am passionate about fire protection/fire safety. I’m also a Fire & Life Safety Inspector for Fall River Valley Fire District.
I am currently a Board member of the Day Lassen Bench Fire Safe Council and I am excited to work with LFSC and their partners to reduce fuels, create safer communities, and educate the public about fire safety and what everyone can do to help harden their homes and properties.
As General Contractor, I try to keep up with current building standards and how to build homes, especially those built in the WUI, to be more fire resistant.
