Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, Saturday, May 2, 2026
A national campaign that encourages people and organizations everywhere to come together on a single day to take action to raise awareness and reduce wildfire risks. Wildfire Community Preparedness Day is always the first Saturday in May.

    • Day Lassen Bench, Oak Woods Estates, week-long green waste clean-up
  • Westwood Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, Saturday, May 2, 2026
    • 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Westwood and Pinetown residents are invited to participate in a Free Green Waste Day
      Green  waste dumpsters will be provided by the Lassen County Air Pollution  Control District
      Dumpsters will be located at Tennyson Field on 2nd Street between Birch & Cedar
      Green Waste Only - NO TRASH
