Janesville Community 1st Annual Green Waste Days

This Event is brought to you in cooperation with the Lassen Fire Safe Council
and the Lassen County Air Pollution Control District. The Residential Green
Waste Disposal Program is funded by the Lassen County Air Pollution Control
District through a grant under the Community Air Protection Program. The
Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air
pollution. To learn more about residential green waste disposal please visit our
website at www.lassenair.org. This event will go towards the certification as a
Firewise Community.
Dumpsters will be available from 9 am until 3 pm on those days at Janesville
Elementary School parking lot for green waste only. So, let’s get busy, help clean
up Janesville, make your property fire safe and fill those dumpsters!!
Acceptable green waste: Residential green waste, biomass consisting of all tree
and plant trimmings, weeds, leaves, branches.
Unacceptable items: Lumber, commercial green waste, poison oak, items with
a diameter greater than twelve inches, tree stumps, root balls, rocks, painted
biomass, plastic tags. Absolutely no household waste or trash.
